Introduction to Basic Structure of Main Emulsifying Pot, Water Pot & Oil Pot of Vacuum Emulsifying Equipment

This machine is a hydraulic lifting vacuum homogenizing emulsifying unit, widely used for manufacturing cosmetic creams, lotions, ointments and similar products. The pre-treatment system consists of main emulsifying pot, water pot and oil pot. All product-contact parts are made of 316L stainless steel with mirror polishing to meet GMP sanitary requirements. All tanks adopt a three-layer jacket structure (inner tank, heating/cooling jacket and outer thermal insulation layer) to realize heating, cooling and heat preservation.

1. Main Emulsifying Pot

The main pot is the core reaction & emulsification vessel of the whole unit. Pre-mixed oil phase and water phase materials complete vacuum emulsification, homogenization and defoaming inside it.

1. Pot Body Three-layer tank structure. Heat transfer oil or steam can be fed into the jacket for heating, while cooling water for temperature reduction. A plunger valve is installed at the tank bottom for finished product discharging.
2. Pot Lid & Hydraulic Lifting System The pot lid is connected with hydraulic lifting columns. The lid can be lifted entirely for tank opening, cleaning and maintenance of mixing assemblies. The lid is equipped with vacuum port, feeding port, sight glass, breather port, temperature sensor and CIP cleaning connector.
3. Mixing System

• Central agitator: Low-speed spiral/frame mixing impeller.
• Wall-scraping agitator: Anchor scraper rotating close to tank inner wall, scraping off materials adhered on the wall to avoid scorching.
• Bottom high-shear homogenizer: High-speed rotor-stator assembly to provide strong shearing force, micronize materials and achieve oil-water emulsification.

4. Auxiliary components include vacuum pipeline, pressure & temperature probes and PLC control system. Negative vacuum environment can be maintained inside the tank to eliminate bubbles in final products.

2. Water Phase Pot

Used for pre-dissolving and preheating of water-phase raw materials.

1. Three-layer jacketed stainless steel tank with independent stirring motor and impeller, supporting separate temperature control and heating.
2. Equipped with feeding port, temperature probe, discharge pipeline and valves.
3. Function: Water-soluble raw materials such as deionized water, humectants and preservatives are dissolved and pre-mixed at constant temperature. After pre-treatment, materials are sucked into the main emulsifying pot by vacuum negative pressure.

3. Oil Phase Pot

Used for melting and pre-mixing of oil-soluble raw materials.

1. Also three-layer jacketed tank with independent mixing system, featuring stronger heating capacity for melting oils, waxes and emulsifiers.
2. Fitted with sight glass, temperature detector, transfer pipelines and valves.
3. Function: Greases, lipids and oil-soluble ingredients are heated, melted and blended evenly. After pre-treatment, oil phase is sucked into the main pot under vacuum and mixed with water phase for emulsification.

Auxiliary Structures (Marked in the Diagram)

• Pipe system: Material transfer pipelines, vacuum pipelines and temperature medium pipelines connecting oil/water pots and main pot.
• Platform & stairs: For operators to feed materials, inspect and operate pre-treatment tanks.
• Control cabinet: PLC touch screen to centrally control temperature, stirring speed, vacuum and lifting actions.

Brief Process Flow

Water phase pre-mixing in water pot → Oil melting & mixing in oil pot → Two phases sucked into main pot by vacuum → Simultaneous wall-scraping stirring + bottom high-speed homogenization under vacuum → Cooling and defoaming → Discharge via bottom plunger valve.
